Stanford ad man sticks by account of last-minute changes in report

A lawyer for R. Allen Stanford grilled a former ad man Thursday on his claims that he saw Stanford and another company executive changing numbers in an annual report before sending it to a printer. Lionel “Leo” Mejia, the second prosecution witness in Stanford?s trial on charges of defrauding investors of $7 billion, testified late Wednesday that his duties included preparing an annual report for a Stanford-owned offshore bank, and that he saw Stanford and his chief financial officer, James Davis, manipulating figures in the report.
